We then break from the montage to a live shot of Dan Timberland and Ransom.)
Dan Timberland: We are just three weeks away from a Fall From Grace Eight: Vertigo ladies and gentlemen – and tonight will surely have an impact on what unfolds there!
Ransom: Don’t be so sure of that. I hear Boxer got stuck in customs.
Dan Timberland: They rarely even check your license when crossing our northern border – how could he be stuck in customs?
Ransom: I don’t know. Hell I don’t know how the Expert couldn’t make it tonight – he’s Canadian.
Dan Timberland: Well – we have another Liberty Wrestling debut coming up – and another shot for Nick Swifkicky to get a notch in the victory column.
Ransom: I hope he’s getting his hopes up.
Dan Timberland: Let’s go to Joel.
(Joel Cronus in the ring gets his cue.)
Joel Cronus: Ladies and Gentlemen – Welcome to Friday Night Fiction! Our first match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first from Boston, Mass…
(“Shipping up to Boston” from the Dropkick Murphys hits hard and fast.)
Joel Cronus: Part of the fightin’ Swifkicky family…
(Iron Nick and the Slutkickys make their way out to the ring.)
Joel Cronus: He is – IRON NICK SWIFKICKY!
(He enters the ring as the Slutkickys surround the outside. The Murphys fade away.)
Joel Cronus: And his opponent…
(“Stand Up” from Jet takes over on the public address. Lights strobe the arena.)
Joel Cronus: Coming to the ring now from Arizona – making his debut in Liberty Wrestling….
(Suukya’ takes his cue and emerges from behind the thick curtain a heavy boxer style robe of black covering his body and his hood up, obscuring his face.)
Joel Cronus: Weighing in at 230-pounds and standing at six-feet five-inches...
(Reaching ringside, Suukya’ whips off his robe, showing a black singlet with orange-red, turquoise and black trim. He drops to a knee for a silent prayer.)
Joel Cronus: I give you - SUUKYA'!
*DING, DING*
(Suukya’ circles around Swifkicky.)
Dan Timberland: Nick’s acting a little cocky tonight – what in his mind would justify that?
Ransom: This Suukya’ is a rookie. Maybe he feels his experience will run him over.
(The two lock up and Suukya’ overpowers Nick with an armbar. He flips him over to the mat and puts him in a headlock.)
Ransom: Did you know Dan that Suukya’ means “One”?
Dan Timberland: Yes, I have access to Google just as much as you.
Ransom: Oh. I thought I was part of some private beta testing or something.
Dan Timberland: I can also google “sarcasm” at any time.
(He keeps the hold on Swifkicky, who rakes the face to get out of it.)
Dan Timberland: Iron Nick finding a way out of this hold. His father warning him about the move.
Ransom: He got to the count of “Naalöyö'”.
Dan Timberland: What?
Ransom: Apparently your google escapades only get you so far in life Danny.
(Swifkicky lands a kick to the midsection and whips Suukya’ into the ropes.)
Dan Timberland: Swifkicky with a moment of control here.
(Suukya’ rebounds back and catches an attempted dropkick from Swifkicky and drops him with a sidewalk slam.)
Dan Timberland: And a brief moment that was. Suukya’ with the amateur wrestling background – seems to still be getting comfortable with some of these more “professional” wrestling moves.
Ransom: Not to mention the “professional” interviewing style – I’ve heard better things come out of Wildwing.
(Suukya’ not wasting much time as he lifts Swifkicky right back up and down with a scoop slam.)
Dan Timberland: The ring is rocking after that slam. Don’t know if we’re going to have the opportunity to see Swifkicky’s best effort tonight.
Ransom: At least the Slutkickys are out here for support.
(Swifkicky very slow to get to his feet… Suukya’ grabs his head and executes a Russian Leg Sweep.)
Dan Timberland: Side Russian Leg Sweep, he’s not giving Swifkicky much chance to mount any sort of attack.
(Suukya’ grabs the legs and stuffs on a Boston Crab.)
Dan Timberland: And there’s a Boston Crab. It may look elementary but when applied correctly it’s just as dangerous as any other move in there – I’m sure you could agree with that.
Ransom: I never tapped to a Boston Crab. Hell I never tapped period.
Dan Timberland: Don’t make me go to the tape archives.
Ransom: Don’t worry – I burned them all up.
(Nick fights it for about a minute – but gives in a taps.)
*DING, DING*
Dan Timberland: Wow – an impressive debut from Suukya to say the least.
(Dick Swifkicky raises Suukya’s arm.)
Dan Timberland: We’ll have to watch in the weeks to come to see how Suukya’ inserts himself in the Liberty Wrestling Federation.
Ransom: And how Swifkicky finds a way out of it.
Dan Timberland: Let’s take a quick break.
(We fade out on a victorious Suukya’ in the ring.)
